UNESCO Laureate, Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu, has said that the International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary and Higher Education and the World Accreditation Commission recently signed a partnership action plan to boost quality assurance in higher education systems as Works Records Holder Commends Development as Aremu says global initiative aims to advance excellence in higher education.

Royal Paradise Media (News Online) learnt this from The first African UNESCO Laureate, Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu in a telephone conversation with our reporter today being on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 as World Records Holder, Aremu stated that signing off MoU Between the two global bodies helps to strengthen cooperation and promote shared emphasis on advancing quality assurance across global higher education.

Speaking further to our reporter Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu noted that the partnership agreement, plan enables both institutions to conduct an in-depth study of the global higher education landscape and track trends across world regions.

In the words of Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu: “This tasks revolve around identifying a team of experts to conduct the study and produce a report from each region. The joint team included amongst others are: Ashley Jackon, Manager of the Accreditation Committee at the International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary and Higher Education, and Prof. Sir Bashiru Aremu of the World Accreditation Commission”.

“No doubt, Research is a distinguishing feature of tertiary institutions. Also, academic leaders should shoulder immense responsibility in shaping and driving the academic enterprise to promote intensity of thinking through sustained research culture”.

“The World Accreditation Commission central purpose is to promote and advance excellence in tertiary education institutions through the support of an active international community of external quality assurance providers”.

“WAC is an official partner of UNESCO, the Association of Universities for Asia and the Pacific, the Board of Quality Standard in collaboration with INQAAHE in Spain, and several other global quality assurance agencies and notable organizations Worldwide”.

WAC partnership with UNESCO, BQS and other global accreditation bodies such as: INQAAHE, AAUP, and global quality assurance agencies demonstrate its commitment to upholding quality standards in higher education”.

“The commission’s recognition enhances its credibility and reputation as an accrediting body and reinforces its legitimacy and integrity in the education sector. WAC is established under United States law with chartered file number 5378647 and Record ID 455176, filed by Jeffrey W. Bullock, Secretary of State of Delaware”.
