The Former Chairman/Convener, Aniocha South Traditional Medicine Practitioners, Professor Jemico Okeleke, has been commended by the Delta North leadership of National Association of Nigerian Traditional Medicine Practitioners (NANTMP) for his decades of contributions to the growth and development of Traditional Medicine as a noble Profession in Aniocha South LGA, Delta North, Delta State, Nigeria, Africa and beyond as group on Monday, May 20, 2026 Inaugurated, bestowed, honored him as their Delta North Patron in grand-style at his Residence at Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State.
Royal Paradise Media (News Online) learnt this during the Inaugural ceremony of Professor Jemico Okeleke as the Delta North Patron of NANTMP, which took place at his Residence at Ogwashi-Uku in Aniocha South LGA of Delta State on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 as event witnessed the gathering of notable Traditional Medicine Practitioners across Delta North Senatorial District.
The atmosphere of the Inaugural ceremony was charged with melodious traditional music, merriment and refreshments with sumptuous feedings. The participants were happy and prayed together in unity to their God.
The Members of NANTMP who were participants at the event showered encomiums on their newly found leader from Aniocha South LGA. Professor Jemico Okeleke, NANTMP Leadership also prayed for Professor Jemico, The Onu Obi of Ubulu-Unor Kingdom for God’s wisdom, protection and blessings upon him and his household.
Professor Jemico Okeleke in his his acceptance speech, has Commended the Chairman of Delta State Traditional Medicine Board, High Chief (Dr) Ogbogodom Ogumu, The Leadership of National Association of Nigerian Traditional Medicine Practitioners (NANTMP), Delta North Chapter led by Dr. Oturkwele Emuebie, State & Zonal Officials; Delta State Secretary, NANTMP, Dr. Tony Okwuose, South-South Zonal Woman Leader, Dr Angela Chiwete and other Executoves amd members, NANTMP, other notable Traditional Medicine Practitioners in Delta North that comprises the Nine Local Government Area of Delta: Aniocha South, Aniocha North, Oshimili South, Oshimili North, Ika South, Ika North East, Ndokwa West, Ndokwa West, Ukwuani LGAs of Delta State for the show of love, recognizing his over 37 years of service in the Profession even as the then State Herbal Inspector; Served in different capacities.
Jemico also, thanked the Association for finding him worth of such honor as he was Inaugurated the Delta North Patron of NANTMP as Professor promises more commitment and support to the leadership of NANTMP.
You could recall that the Traditional Medicine Board was established by Law in 1994 to compile and maintain the regulate the activities of all Traditional Medicine Practitioners. Traditional Medicine Board Oversees Policy, Licensing and sanitation for the practice.
Speaking at the Inaugural event that ushered Professor Jemico Okeleke as the Delta North Patron of NANTMP, the Delta State Traditional Medicine Board is Responsible for Certifying authentic Traditional Medicine Practitioners and weeding out quacks and fake herbal drugs from the State’s Healthcare system.
This Chairman of Delta State Traditional Medicine Board, High Chief (Dr) Ogbogodom Ogumu while addressing the gathering commended the Delta North leadership of NANTMP for bestowing, Inauguration of Professor as the Patron of the Association as he Commended Jemico’s Professionalism, decades of contributions to the Practice of Traditional Medicine in Delta State, Nigeria and Africa in general.
High Chief Dr. Ogumu who described Jemico as his childhood friend that had contributed immensely to the Association and maintained honesty, transparency and productivity at all times towards the growth of the Profession in Delta State, and beyond..
The Delta North Chairman, National Association of Nigerian Traditional Medicine Practitioners (NANTMP), Dr Oturkwele Emuebie, has during the Inauguration of Commended the immense Contributions of Professor Jemico Okeleke to the group,. He stated that the love the group has for Jemico, his antecedents, past and present achievements as a leader, his leadership style, support to the association had led to the actualization of the NANTMP objectives in the Aniocha South, Delta North Senatorial District and Delta State in general.
NANTMP Leadership noted that Prof Jemico’s experience had prompted the Association to bestow him with such honor, recognition.While he she for Unity of the members, he then appeal to Professor Jemico to always receive them and offer them useful advice for the growth and development of the Association in Delta North.
Dr Tony Okwuose who is currently the Delta State Secretary of National Association of Nigerian Traditional Medicine Practitioners (NANTMP) while addressing the members of the Association had also Commends the development while addressing participants at the occasion as he tasked Members on the ethical conducts; Traditional Medicine Practitioners to avoid sharp and fetish practices that promotes the use of human beings for sacrifices or rituals as he warned that anyone caught will be punished in accordance with the law of the land.
Dr. Angela Chiwete, NANTMP South-South Zonal Woman Leader also, lend her voice during the Inaugural ceremony of Professor Jemico Okeleke as the Delta North Patron of National Association of Nigerian Traditional Medicine Practitioners (NANTMP) as she commended all who came out en mass to Honor their leader, Professor Jemico Okeleke as she called on members to promote unity in the group for progress and development of NANTMP in Delta North, Delta State , South-South and Nigeria in general. She therefore urged members to continue to reach out to credible, authentic and other individuals willing to join the Association who are Traditional Medicine Practitioners within Delta North.

Other members who spoke included amongst others are: Dr Onata Dike Mma, Dr. Anthony, Dr Madaka, Dr River, Dr. Odogwu. Professor Jemico Okeleke in his vote of thanks to NANTMP leadership commended the NANTMP Leadership in Delta North for such uncommon recognition accorded him as he promises innovation, research, creativity and more commitment and support to the group at all times.
