******DYTM Congratulates Senator Ifeanyi Okowa on Delta North APC Senatorial Primary Victory
The Delta Youth Transformation Team (DYTM) has congratulated former Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, on his victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) Delta North Senatorial District primary election.
In a statement issued by the group’s leadership, led by President Sir Isioma Melekwe and Secretary Dr. Tola Ajimisogbe, DYTM described the victory as a clear demonstration of the confidence and trust APC members across Delta North have in Senator Okowa’s leadership and political experience.
According to the Returning Officer, Mr. Eugene Odo, Senator Okowa polled 113,309 votes to defeat Senator Ned Nwoko, who scored 2,612 votes, while Mariam Ali received 40 votes.
The primary election was conducted through the direct primary system also known as Option A4 across all wards in the eight local government areas of Delta North Senatorial District. The exercise was widely described by party officials as peaceful, transparent, and credible, with strong participation from party members.
DYTM also commended the APC for conducting a smooth and democratic process and called on party faithful to unite and work together ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group is anchored by the Patron, Chief Nkem Okwuofu, Agunwayi and Media Directorate Secretary, Prince Philip Igwenwanne.
