Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu, The First African UNESCO Laureate and World Records Holder, has said that Crown University International, USA In collaboration with The Government of The Republic of Gambia- Gambia Telecommunications Company Ltd Mandela and other development partners will host first ever Gambia Cyber Security Global Summit and Award Ceremony scheduled to take place on August 8th- 9th , 2026, at Hon. Baboucarr O Joof Conference Center, Gambia.
Speaking to our reporter, Prof Aremu stated that, “the event as organized will be hosted by Crown University Intl. Chartered Inc. in collaboration with Global Chamber on African Trade, Rights and Economic Development (GCATRED) and Cybercop Global Council- Africa Region Subsidiary of Unity of Nations Action for Climate Change Council (UNACCC) will honor eminent Africans, VIPs with Honorary Doctorate Degree.
Royal Paradise Media (News Online) learnt this from Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu, The Africa Head & Chairman, Board of Trustees of Unity of Nations Action for Climate Change Council, UNACCC in a telephone conversation with our reporter today being Sunday, March 8, 2026 as he briefed media, commended the initiative.
The First African UNESCO Laureate said:
“Crown University in partnership with other development partners will anchor Gambia CyberSecurity Global Summit and Honorary Doctorate Degree Certificates with Fellowship Award. We anticipate to Honor VIPs, Eminent Africans at the global event to be held at Hon Baboucarr O Joof Conference Center Gambia”
Speaking further to our reporter, Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu, World Records Holder stated: “The summit’s theme, “Cyber Security in the modern world of ICT ,” aims to foster dialogue and collaboration on pressing economic issues. The event will feature the awarding of honorary doctorate degrees to distinguished individuals”.
