Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu, The World Grand President, International Chartered World Learned Society (ICWLS), USA, has congratulated Prof. Augustine Amadikwa Uwakwe on his global recognition and honor with esteemed Life Fellow and Global Golden Five Star Awards from ICWLS, USA as he bags the “Most Notable and Top Distinguished Academic Leader of the 21st Century”.
Royal Paradise Media (News Online) learnt this from the VC CUICI, USA in a telephone conversation with our reporter today being Saturday, December 20, 2025 as Aremu who briefed Media on the outcome of the ICWLS Global Golden Awards, described Prof. Uwakwe, Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Board of Governing Council, Gregory University Uturu, Abia State, Nigeria.
The First African UNESCO Laureate has hailed Uwakwe’s global contributions to international education; described Prof Uwakwe as a World Educator, Researcher, seasoned Scholar and Distinguished Academic Leader in the field of Medical/Phyto+MN medical Biochemistry, Enzymology and Pharmacology.
Speaking further to our reporter, Prof Aremu stated: “Prof Augustine Amadikwa Uwakwe s a renowned academic and researcher with over 25 years of experience in the field of Biochemistry. His impressive academic credentials who had bagged his PhD from the University of Port Harcourt. He was the best graduating student in his class and the first PhD product of his department”.
“With over 250 research publications and a supervisor to hundreds of undergraduate and postgraduate students, Prof. Uwakwe has made significant contributions to the fields of Medical/Phyto-medical Biochemistry, Enzymology, and Pharmacology. He has also served as External Examiner for several universities and held leadership positions in various academic institutions such as Vice-Chancellor of Evangel University Akaeze and Gregory University Uturu”.
Prof. Uwakwe’s commitment to academic excellence and research has earned him numerous awards and recognition, including the Nelson Mandela Leadership merit award and the National Productivity Order of Merit (MPOM) award. He is a Fellow of several professional organizations such as the Strategic Institute for Human Resources and National Development, and the Nigerian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (NSBMB)”.
