I am very happy to welcome you to this Vice-Chancellor’s press briefing. This is one in the series of the events and activities of our 14th Convocation Ceremony.

Our Convocation week started on Sunday, 12th October, 2025 with a celebration of Holy Mass. The mass was meant to pray the Almighty God to give us the grace, and protect us during the week and beyond. It also signaled and manifested that Tansian University is a faith-based institution.

The theme of this 14th Convocation is EDUCATION AS A CATALYST FOR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. This is to point out the place and contribution of Tansian University in the Socio-economic development of our society.

This Convocation is special to us in three aspects:

  1. One of our great sons, Engineer Arthur Eze, Ozo Igbo Ndu will be installed as the pillar of Tansian University, other Distinguished personalities including the former Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Gburugburu), DIG Taiwo .L. And notable Nigerians will be conferred with honorary degrees (Honoris Causa).
  2. (a) Showcasing of our New Gate
    (b) Earth-breaking of the New Faculty of Law Building
    (c) Foundation Laying of New Administrative Block
    (d) Unveiling of the Igwe Michael Anaekwe Eze (Okofia IV Ukpo) Faculty of Management And Social Sciences Building
  3. (a) Graduation of the Pioneer Ph.D Candidates of Tansian University. This significant achievements connotes, and also testifies to the maturity of our academic programs and the hard work of our staff and students.
    (b) The first two sets our B.Sc Nursing Science (B.NSc) students are among the graduates.

In total, the degrees and diplomas will be awarded as follows:

Bachelor’s Degree- 577
Post graduate Diplomas-5
Master’s Degree-5
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D)-14
