Engr. Joshua Egube, a retired Director, Highway Engineering, Delta State Ministry of Works has said that his service years as civil servant was eventful, positive and full of achievements as he advised upcomers, younger generation of youths and his colleagues in civil service to be serious and highly committed to their duties to achieve a set goal.
The Ughelli North born World-class Engineer in a separate Interview with our reporter during the event, celebrated double at “Scripture Union Fellowship” on 28th November, 2021 Sunday in Asaba, Delta State capital as he marked his retirement from service with Golden Jubilee, 60th birthday anniversary celebration in grandstyle.
Engr. Joshua Egube, a product of Edo College, 1983 UNIBEN Enginering graduate was celebrated by his family members, church members, Christian Leaders, Professional colleagues as friends and colleagues poured encomiums, gave positive testimonies of his commitment to duty and steadfastness in the service of the Lord.
Prior to the celebration, a renowned Clergyman, Bishop Chuka in his sermon to the church enjoined Christians to always seek first the kingdom of God so as to enjoy God’s divine grace, favour and blessings of eternity.Clergymen alongside other church members and leaders used the opportunity to pray for God’s protection, long life and prosperity upon Engr. Egube’s lives, family.
Engr. Egube was born on November 28th 1961. He served 18 years in the private sector. He then served 20 years in Delta State civil service before before his retirement. He was drafted into the Delta State Civil Service in 2001. He had published books; both Professional and technical books, presented papers, mentorships to younger Engineers locally and internationally. He had received both local and International awards of excellence in the field of Engineering is a true disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In a separate Interview some of friey and colleagues of the Celebrants, Engr Egube was sincerely and extensively prayed for by his wife, children, church members, Clergymen, friends and colleagues. Engr. Anthony Akpokene, a childhood friend to Engr. Egube stated that the celebrant has been his best friend since 53 years ago, that they grew up together, while praying for good things to come to him on retirement and wishing him a happy birthday celebration.
Also on the scene of thanking God and praying for him were his professional Colleagues which included amongst others are: Engr. Rex Ohre, Engr. Gabriel Fuludu, Acting Director, Highways, Delta State Ministry of Works, Members and leadership of Nigerian Society of Engineers, the media, and other friends and well wishers so numerous to mention send their Positive heart provoking tributes giving life honour to him for his service band contributions to humanity.
Engr. Egube’s family; his wife, Mrs Egube Blessing, Daughters-Egube Joy and Egube Ese, and sons: Igbudu and Buebu, thanked the Almighty God for given them the best, greatest father in the world, their father’s show of excellence, life of commitment, generosity faithfulness and example as Engr. Egube’s wife described her husband as a hubby of inestimable value while she wished him a peaceful, happy retirement and 60th birthday anniversary celebration.
