The Delta North Chapter of the National Association of Nigerian Traditional Medicine Practitioners, NANTMP, has declared its support for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and all candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Royal Paradise Media (News Online) learnt this from the Delta North Patron & Chief Adviser to NANTMP Delta North Chapter, Prof Jemico Okeleke in a statement today being on Sunday, October 4, 2026 the association Pledges continuous partnership with Delta State Government for Sustainable healthcare development in the State.
In the release, the Patron and Adviser of NANTMP Delta North, Professor Jemico Okeleke, commended the practitioners for their unity and commitment to the growth of traditional medicine in the zone.
Professor Okeleke said that traditional medicine practitioners have a critical role to play in the healthcare delivery system, particularly at the grassroots.
He tasked members of the association to support the policies and programmes of the government at both the state and federal levels.
According to him, the MORE Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has positively impacted various sectors of the state, including health, infrastructure and human capital development.
He noted that the governor’s deliberate efforts in renovating and protecting public property, as well as his inclusive governance style, deserve the support of all well-meaning groups.
The press statement by Professor Jemico Okeleke reads in part: “We use this medium to commend the former Delta State Governor, Send. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for laying a solid foundation for healthcare development in the state and for his continued leadership in Delta North”.
“We hereby urged practitioners to remain law-abiding, ensure proper documentation and registration of their practices and avoid activities that could undermine public health”.
“As the Patron & Chief Adviser of NANTMP, Delta North Chapter, I, Professor Jemico Okeleke hereby State here that, the decision of our members to support Governor Oborevwori, Senator Okowa, Rt Hon. Ndudi Elumelu and APC candidates was unanimous and based on performance”.
