*****FUTO ALUMNI ASSOCIATION COMMENDS TANTITA SECURITY SERVICES NIGERIA LIMITED FOR IT’S SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTIONS TO SECURITY AND DEVELOPMENT IN DELTA STATE AND NIGERIA.

On the 15th of February 2026, during the First Quarterly Meeting of the Delta State Chapter of the FUTO Alumni Association, the Chairman, Dr. Martins Kedienhon and members passionately emphasized that improved security remains the bedrock of economic growth, sustainable development, and nation building.

This message is appropriate and timely, especially for Delta State and the Niger Delta region, where security plays a direct role in economic productivity and social stability.
Security is the foundation upon which every prosperous society is built. No meaningful investment, industrial expansion, educational advancement, or infrastructural development can thrive in an atmosphere of fear and instability. For Delta State, which plays a strategic role in Nigeria’s oil and gas economy, security is not merely a necessity, it is a national priority.

However, insecurity does not exist in isolation. It is often fueled by several underlying factors, such as
Youth unemployment and lack of economic opportunities, poor electricity supply affecting businesses and livelihoods, limited logistical and operational resources for security agencies, social inequality, and community discontent.
Addressing these root causes requires a collaborative effort between government, private organizations, civil society groups, and community leaders.

THE STRATEGIC ROLE OF TANTITA SECURITY SERVICES NIGERIA LIMITED (TSSNL)
In this regard, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited has emerged as a pivotal institution in strengthening security across Delta State and the Niger Delta region.
TSSNL has played a critical role in securing oil pipelines and critical infrastructure. This effort has significantly reduced crude oil theft and pipeline vandalism, leading to increased daily crude oil production in Nigeria. By safeguarding these national assets, TSSNL has directly contributed to:

  • Improved national revenue
    Strengthened economic stability
  • Enhanced investor confidence in the oil and gas sector, and
These contributions extend beyond Delta State. It positively impacts the Nigerian economy at large.
Beyond asset protection, TSSNL has donated materials, infrastructure, and manpower to security agencies within Delta State. These interventions have strengthened operational efficiency and improved the capacity of law enforcement agencies to secure lives and property.

By equipping security institutions with necessary tools and logistical support, TSSNL has complemented government efforts and enhanced coordinated security operations.
On Youth Employment and Crime Reduction. One of the most impactful contributions of TSSNL is youth employment.

By engaging thousands of youths across Delta State and the Niger Delta region, TSSNL has reduced youth restiveness, lowered crime rates, provided economic empowerment, fostered community inclusion and ownership in security operations.
Employment is one of the strongest deterrents of crime. When young people are gainfully engaged, they become stakeholders in peace and development rather than instruments of instability.
For these reasons, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited stands as a blessing not only to Delta State but to the entire Niger Delta and Nigeria as a whole.

Some notable projects that has also been carried out by TSSNL to boost security include but not limited to:
Building and complete furnishing of Ugborikoko Police Station, Construction of 13 new offices and refurbished 22 others at 3 Battalion Effurun Barracks,
Donation of operational vehicles to the Nigerian Police Force, Effurun Area Command, to improve patrol capabilities and lots more.
Special commendation must be extended to:
The Chairman, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (Also known as Tompolo),
The Vice Chairman, Mr Matthew Tonlagha,
The Managing Director, Kestin Pondi.

Their visionary leadership, strategic coordination, and commitment to national development have positioned TSSNL as a reliable partner in securing the nation’s treasure and advancing regional stability.

It is important to encourage them and their entire management team to remain steadfast in their mission and continue their good works for the collective progress of Delta State, the Niger Delta, and Nigeria.

The Delta State Government under the Governorship of His Excellency, Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori also deserves recognition for appointing and engaging youths in land and waterway security operations. This proactive step demonstrates that the government understands the power of inclusion and shared responsibility in addressing security challenges.
Security is a shared responsibility.

All security agencies must work synergistically, avoiding duplication of roles and fostering intelligence sharing. Likewise, private organizations and civil society groups must continue to partner with government institutions to create sustainable security frameworks.
Together, through unity of purpose and strategic partnership, Delta State can continue on the path of peace, stability, and sustainable development.
