The Liberia National Academy of History and Heritage, Monrovia, Republic of Liberia, has conferred a Fellowship Award on Nigerian academic and First African UNESCO Laureate as Prof. Sir Bashiru Aremu commended the Academy’s leadership on global honor, promises innovation, research, creativity, more commitment and sustainable development of the Academy.
Royal Paradise Media (News Online) learnt this from the First African UNESCO Laureate & World Records Holder in a telephone conversation with our reporter today being on Sunday, May 24, 2026 as Prof Aremu commended Prof. Sir N. Simon’s Role in LNAHH towards the recognition of his contributions to global education, research, and sustainable development.
Speaking to our reporter, Prof. Aremu had commended the leadership of LNAHH holds the distinction of being the first African to receive the UNESCO Laureate honor for his work in advancing education worldwide. His academic profile included amongst others are: Quadruple post-doctoral degrees and a PhD in Computer Science, positioning him among the continent’s leading scholars in information technology”.
In the words of Prof Sir Bashiru Aremu: “I must commend the Leadership of LNAHH for this great honor, global recognition. I’ must appreciate all who contributed this great, good news, those who had made this happen. Prof. Aremu serves in several international leadership capacities. He is the World Grand President of the International Chartered World Learned Society Inc., USA, and Africa Head of the Unity of Nations Action for Climate Change Council, an official partner of the United Nations”.
“The First African UNESCO Laureate & World Records Holder also chairs accreditation panels for some Nigerian universities on appointment by the Nationalities Universities Commission, Abuja”.
“As Africa Chairman of the CyberCop Global Council, Africa Region, he represents a subsidiary of the Unity of Nations Action for Climate Change Council and other global organizations”.
“Prof. Aremu’s contributions have earned him multiple international awards. These included amongst others are: Global Golden Medal and Certificate from UNESCO, and the title of World Acclaimed Distinguished Professor Emeritus, conferred by UNESCO, the International Chartered World Learned Society, and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka”.
“In 2024, he received the Prestigious Research Professor Award from IPHREC, further cementing his reputation as a leading figure in research and innovation. His work continues to influence policy and practice in education, technology, and sustainable development across Africa and beyond”.
