CALLED FOR MORE VOTERS REGISTRATION AS ENGR. ADIGWE JOIN PDP TODAY
Chairman PDP Ward 9 in Aniocha South LGA of Delta State, Pst. Maxwell Unosha hosted the leaders and executives of the Party in the Party Secretariat yesterday in Isheagu. It was one of the best of its kind as leaders of the party in the ward from all works of life grace the meeting to discuss the way forward for the ward. The leaders pass vote of confidence on Hon. Pst. Jude Chukeuweike, the Executive Chairman of Aniocha South LGA and implored all party members especially the leaders and the executive to stand solidly behind the working Governor of Delta State, H.E Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and also agreed to help him finish strong.
The chairman of the ward Hon Maxwell Unosha urged the leaders of the ward to remain resolute with our father, Ekwueme one of Africa. He charges them to be patient as the Governor will give directives on who will step into his shoes. He affirmed the message of Hon Prince Mike Okwufulueze, the LGA Party Chairman in the last meeting at the LGA that they should not sell their tomorrow because of “small change” so that such person will not regret his/her action.
Hon Ugochwukwu Ikeikwuni also supported the message of the Ward Chairman and charged the leader to wait for the directive of our Father.
They also charged the leaders to support the initiative of sensitising our people especially youths to go out and register for their voter’s cards because it is our instrument of attracting political dividends to our ward. They both call on individuals (Politicians and non Politicians) to support the transportation of people to the INEC office at Ogwashi-uku for voter’s cards registration. Hon Amaka Adigwe the Vice-Chairman of Aniocha South local government also charged the leaders to work more as the importance of voter’s card cannot be overemphasized.
Other leaders who spoke include Hon. Alex Chukwuweike, Hon. Onyeka Nwanji, Hon Chidi Chinedu, Chief Nath Igbadi and Engr. Chris Adigwe. We need more voters so that the dream of Delta North producing the highest voters come 2023 will be achieved in the next election. Others who spoke include Ms Bridget Modobe, Mrs Faith Onyemaechi Masigwe on the importance of registration and the house adopted different strategies to achieve this.
The leaders and EXCO thanked the Council boss, Hon. Pst. Jude Chukwuweike for his efforts in the peace we are enjoying in this LGA citing his reliance in God as a factor. They implored him to extend his dividends of democracy to Ward 9 as he is doing everywhere in the LGA. They also thanked the road master, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for the wonderful work he is doing in Isheagu Ewulu road project and begged him to award the completion of the Ewulu road linking the expressway. The leaders also called on him to mobilize swamp buggy through the Ministry of Environment to clear our waterways to avoid flooding during the rainy season.
The highlight of the occasion witness the registration of new members to our party especially the presentation of the PDP card to a business tycoon Engr. Christopher Chukwuka Adigwe and an healthcare consultant Mrs. Roseline Ifeanyi Aniaya-Dunkwu and others who officially join PDP family in ward 9.
