The Ogidi-Gbegbaje Foundation in a bid to reach out on educational support to the grassroots yesterday being on Monday, October 9, 2023 donated dozens of exercise books to Pupils of Ohorhe primary school and students of Ekpan Secondary school in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.
Our reporter was one of the media observer that witnessed the philanthropic gestures of the good spirited Foundation on Monday, October 9, 2023 at Ekpan Secondary school in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State during the delivery of the Educational materials to Pupils and students of Ohorhe and Ekpan.
Sir Edwin Ogidi-Gbegbaje, Permanent Secretary, Government House & Protocols was represented by the Co-ordinator of Ogidi-Gbegbaje Foundation’s Project, who doubles as the Special Assistant On Youth Mobilization To Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Ambassador Comrade Uyero Erarawhewho Jnr who handed the educational materials over to the headmaster and Principal of the schools.
The Foundation has been distributing books for the fourth year in a role to Seconday and primary school in Uvwie Local Government Areas, Delta Central Senatorial districts of the State where the founder came from, his love for education as a detribalised Deltan, yesterday being World mental health day he has extended his hands of fellowship and support to Ohorhe primary and Ekpan Secondary school to support the pupils and students in the Foundation’s “2023 Back to school project or initiative in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State”.
The Foundation Project Coordinator, Comr. Uyero Erarawewho Jnr. who spoke on behalf of the Foundation during the handing over of the Educational Materials (Exercise Books), admonished the Management of the two (Ohorhe and Ekpan) schools who were the Beneficiaries of the project to ensure the purpose of the Foundation philanthropic services on education materials support projects is not defeated rather used for the intended purposes for the benefits of the less-privilegedged Deltans, Pupils and Secondary in Schools of Uvwie South LGA.
Responding, the Headmaster and Principal of both Ohorhe Primary/Secondary and Ekpan Secondary schools, who were the Beneficiaries of the “Ogidi-Gbegbaje Foundation’s Back To School Projects”, then commended the kind gesture of the Foundation for boosting and domesticating UN SDGs 4 in Uvwie LGA of Delta State by Sir Eddy-Gbegbaje’s Foundation.
The Students and Pupils promised to make good use of the educational materials to provide support to the less-privileged pupils and Students in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State towards sustainable Educational development, Societal growth and development as well as towards quality Education for pupils in Delta.
