Lawal Africas, Peace-Building Coordinator of Partners for Peace Initiatives in the Niger Delta Region (PIND), has been inducted as a Fellow of the Association of Enterprise Risk Management Professionals (AERMP) as he Commended group’s leadership to had accorded him such great national and international honor, recognition, promises innovation, more commitment and selfless service; highlights his rich cultural background on global peace-building sector.
Royal Paradise Media (News Online) learnt this from Lawal Africas in a telephone conversation with our reporter today being on Sunday, May 24, 2026 as he briefed media on his AERMP Fellowship Award/induction which took place at James Hope University, Lekki, Lagos State, Nigeria on May 23, 2025, as he was conferred Fellowship of the Association of Enterprise Risk Management Professionals in recognition of his contributions to peacebuilding and risk governance.
Speaking to our reporter, Lawal Africas, has commended the leadership of AERMP for recognition accorded him as regards the Fellowship Award for his huge national and global Contributions to Peace-Building Initiatives and governance. He them promises more commitment and selfless service to humanity as regards the promotion of National and Global peace and Security.
“Lawal Africas who Highlighted some of his background, experiences, achievements in Global Peace-Building sector stated: “Lawal Africas holds the traditional title Asuku 1 of Oloibiri Kingdom in Bayelsa State”.
“He is a chartered Mediator, Conciliator, and community development expert. He is also a Fellow of the Occupational Safety and Health Association, UK. He holds fellowships with the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators and the Institute of Management Consultants. His work spans grassroots peace-building, cultural development, and institutional risk management across Nigeria, Africa, and globally”.
“As the Pioneer Coordinator of Partners for Peace, Africas Lawal leads West Africas’ largest grassroots Peace-Building network, with over 11,000 peace actors across the Niger Delta. Partners for Peace is a project of the Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta, established by Chevron Corporation, and focuses on reducing violence and promoting conflict resolution in the region”.
“The fellowship represents a bridge between culture, grassroots peacebuilding, and corporate risk governance. He noted that for over a decade, his work with PIND Foundation and Partners for Peace has centered on real-time crisis response, stakeholder alignment, and threat mitigation in the Niger Delta”.
“Lawal Africas is an alumnus of the University of Port Harcourt and the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre in Accra, Ghana. He currently serves on the boards of the Initiative for Sustainable Peace and Entrepreneurship Development and the Sustainable Initiative for Nurturing Growth, and is a member of the United Nations Office of the Special Adviser on Africa’s Knowledge Network”.
“His international experience includes an exchange program with the Polish Ministry of Education, in partnership with AIESEC, where he taught entrepreneurship and cultural education in over 20 high schools in Poland. He has also collaborated with the United Nations OSAA and the Wheeler Institute at London Business School on peace and development initiatives”.
